Actually taking care of yourself isn’t easy.

But, you’re the only one who can do it.

Yes—we need support and love from others.

We do.

But we also need—

I mean really, we need—

support and love from within.

Learning how to cultivate positive things within yourself = self care.

Self care = what you have left when everything ‘out there’ goes wrong. Or gets sick. Or passes away.

Self care = what will save you when everything ‘in here’ feels messed up.

It is the foundation you need to build first, whether your highest aspirations are material or spiritual or both.

Without it, life blows.

Absolutely, it fucking blows.

With it, life still blows but you also feel the depth.

You feel true to yourself, and you have inner power.

In the end, you need to teach yourself how to take care of yourself.

But at the beginning, you need help.

I can help you find some of your own answers that you forgot you had.

I can help you learn some foundational skills to practice self care for your mind and body.

I can help you consider some of the fundamental teachings of Buddhism and how they might be useful for you.

Or, if you’re more strictly secular, I can try to not bring up anything to do with Buddhism.

We can keep it 100% hardcore western materialism if you like.

The point is:

You’re still reading this.

You know you need to take care of yourself better, but you don’t know what that really even means.

I’ve been there.

No judgement.

But that isn’t a good place to stay for a long time.

Let’s talk, and we can see what comes of it.
